Okay, so I need everyone reading this blog to chime in and give your opinion on my dilemma with Olivia's birthday. Josh and I are almost 99% sure that we're going on vacation the week of Olivia's birthday. She'll turn one on Monday, November 13th. We were planning on leaving Friday the 10th and returning the following Friday, November 17th. We kinda like the idea of being away for her actual birthday. Just the three of us, spending quality time together. We'll probably take the camcorder and watch all of our home movies from the past year. But we definitely want to have a birthday party for her so that all of our family and friends can celebrate with us. This is where you come in. We can't decide whether to have the party the weekend before, possibly Sunday, November 5th. Or should we do it the weekend we get back, Sunday November 19th? There are pros and cons to both, so I'd really love for each of you to chime in and give us some feedback. Which date do you think makes most since.
November 5th???
or
November 19th???

I would say November 5th. That way you can do all of the planning and preparation before your trip and let everyone celebrate before you leave. Then you can celebrate as a family on her actual birthday. I think it would be too much to think about to have to throw a party AFTER you get back from a vacation. You will be worn out! Hope this helps...
I completely agree with heather. Also, then you haven't missed her birthday and she will have lots of new things for vacation!!!
Still can't believe the little squirt is almost 1! Love you Livi Lou!
I say the 5th. We already have something on the 19th and I want to be able to come to the party.
Survey Says....the 5th! :) I agree with everyone else...enjoy your vacation without having to get back and be busy planning her party. Love you Livi!!! Can't believe your going to be 1 years old.
I agree it will be easier to plan and carry out before you go. It is just so chaotic. However, I am leading at Disciple Blast Weekend for the youth at church on the 3rd-5th. So I doubt we would be able to make it! Sorry I am not much help! I already have her gift though! If you did have it on the 19th you could let her enjoy her first cake and celebrate with you guys first! You would also have some great pictures from her first bday to share at the party!
I agree with everyone! Plus if you have it the 19th I might not be able to go. Its the Third Day David Crowder concert. I can't miss my buttercups very first birthday! Love you give her kisses for me!
